Centennial Theatre

Big, sonorous, and richly scored, Beethoven’s Fifth Piano Concerto is aptly nicknamed for its majestic grandeur, profound expression, and joyous outbursts.

The “Emperor” offers no better showcase of one of Canada’s best-loved pianists, Robert Silverman, as he bids farewell to the concert stage.

We pair this grand statement with one by Johannes Brahms – his sublimely rousing Variations on a Theme by Haydn boasting a spectacular tour-de-force finale.

Lions Gate Youth Orchestra joins LGS for Bach’s “Little” Fugue in g minor, one of Bach’s best-known compositions featuring his most recognizable tune.
