Help clean B.C.’s shorelines and take a stand against shoreline litter in your community! The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, presented by Loblaw Companies Limited, is one of the biggest cleanup events in the world and gives all Canadians a chance to connect with their local rivers, lakes, streams and seas, helping ensure the long-term health of our waters. Since 1994, this national conservation initiative of the Vancouver Aquarium and WWF has removed more than one million kilograms of litter from our shorelines. Last year alone, the Shoreline Cleanup removed over 99,000 kg (equivalent to the weight of 132 smart cars) of shoreline litter.
This fall, tackle shoreline litter and help create healthy waters for everyone from September 1 – October 31, 2014. Learn more and register at ShorelineCleanup.ca
