Author Readings: Kevin Chong & Mary Tasi – North Vancouver City Library

Join the North Vancouver City Library in welcoming authors Kevin Chong and Mary Tasi. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for wine and light refreshments in the Dr. G. Paul Singh room on the third floor of the library. Readings are always free and open to the public. No tickets or registration required.

Vancouver author, Kevin Chong, will read from his memoir My Year of the Racehorse, described by Quill & Quire as “…a quirky, fast-paced gallop through the exhilaration, heartbreak, and financial responsibility of owning even a small share in racehorse.” Kevin is the author of four books, including Beauty Plus Pity and the racetrack memoir, about his experiences owning a racehorse based in Vancouver’s Hastings Racetrack. He is an editor at Joyland.ca and teaches creative writing at UBC and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Local author, Mary Tasi is a Squamish Nation resident who is married into a prominent hereditary chieftainship family. She will read from her book, Spirit Memory.
