Join us for a presentation by Vancouver Maritime Museum staff on the significance of the St. Roch to Canadian history. Built in North Vancouver in 1928, the RCMP St. Roch was a floating RCMP detachment that maintained law and order and serviced isolated communities in the western Arctic.
The St. Roch and its crew made history as the second vessel ever to transit the Northwest Passage and the first to do it from west to east.
While in the gallery for the presentation, enjoy the art work exhibited in The Boat Show. There are threehistorical paintings in the show by artist Chi Ming Yueng.
