Artist Elizabeth J. Austin will be giving an artist talk at the Opening Reception of the Brushstrokes Gallery exhibition and fine art sale “Drawn to Water” on Saturday, October 1, 2 – 4 pm.
“I am often drawn to water”, Austin comments. “The hues and reflections of calm water, warm summer light, and spectacular reflections are irresistible”. As a third generation Vancouverite, Elizabeth has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. Translating her inner vision into outer reality, she has a spiritual connection to her paintings. Having sailed across the Pacific, hiked the West Coast Trail and skied most of her life, Elizabeth is inspired by the outdoors and typically paints Canadian landscapes.
Brushstrokes Gallery is pleased to feature Austin’s work along with 28 other member artists from the North Shore Artists’ Guild and more than 60 paintings in an exhibition and fine art sale that runs from September 28 through to November 6, Wednesdays to Sundays, 12 pm – 6 pm.
Brushstrokes Gallery is located on the Second Floor of Lonsdale Quay, 123 Carrie Cates Court, North Vancouver. Free parking is available at the Lonsdale Quay, and at ICBC on Saturdays and Sundays.
