The 2026 Poppy Campaign – North and West Vancouver Legions

Each year, from October 24 to November 11, millions of Canadians proudly wear a poppy as a visible promise to remember the brave souls who sacrificed everything for our freedoms. While poppies are distributed free of charge, donations to the Poppy Fund are deeply appreciated, directly supporting Canadian veterans and their loved ones.

Inspired by Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae’s timeless poem, “In Flanders Fields”, the poppy was first adopted in Canada in 1921. Today, it stands as a sacred emblem of remembrance for Canada’s fallen heroes.

Driven by local Royal Canadian Legion branches nationwide, the Poppy Campaign ensures that every donation stays within the community, held in trust to provide direct aid to veterans and their families.

Please wear your poppy this season to honor, reflect, and thank those who paved the way for the freedoms we cherish today.

Poppies are available at most retailers across Canada and are also available on Amazon with a small donation: Visit amazon.ca/legion
