YARN BOMBING on the North Shore

Event Details

1100 Lonsdale Avenue

Knitters get ready – it’s time for another yarn bombing!

The TAG… You’re Knit! project has been spreading throughout North Vancouver and beyond, and our participants have been hard at work, knitting away. We now have plenty of knitted yarn ready to be fashioned into some fabulous knit graffiti.

On Saturday, July 28th, from 1-4pm we will be meeting at 1100 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver (look for a grizzly bear statue and the NVCAC). We will be yarn bombing this small, often overlooked park; brightening it up with a splash of stitched colour!

All participants are encouraged to join us for this exciting hands-on installation event, where will combine everyone’s knittings and create some incredible public art. This art will be later repurposed into blankets for the homeless.

If you are interested in joining the TAG… You’re Knit! project, or just want to know what knit graffiti is all about, feel free to stop by and start participating – everyone is welcome!
