Deep Cove Tuesday Night Paddlesport Races start in early April and run weekly until mid-September. All human powered floating vessels are welcome. Kayaks, stand up paddleboards, canoes, surfskis, outrigger canoes and dug-out canoes. Participation averages between 60 and 100 people.
The races are open to paddlers and skiers of all abilities, and the races are 30 to 60 minutes in length depending on your ability. There is a short course and long course. Don’t let the word race scare you away.
There is a wide range of skill levels participating, and they are all about FUN! Note: Paddlers should have competent skills and should be able to self rescue.
◦Race Entry Fee – a whopping $5
◦Single Kayak Rental – $15 + taxes
◦Double Kayak Rental – $30 + taxes
◦Stand up Paddleboard Rental – $15 + taxes
◦6:00 Check-in, Arrange your rental craft Reservations are required
◦6:30 You should be on the water and warming up
◦7:00 Race start, Race length 30 – 60 minutes. We have a safety boat with a videographer and photographer.
◦Post Race prizes take place
◦Apres Race Party at The Raven Pub where we watch the race video and enjoy food and drink specials.
