The Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art presents an incredible solo exhibition of the work of Robert Davidson’s first solo exhibition in the Lower Mainland in ten years! The exhibition opens on May 22, 2015 with an artist panel discussion from 6-7pm and reception from 7-9pm. We have been working on this exhibition for over a year and are so close to our goal! Currently, the Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation for Young Artists, which organizes and produces all exhibitions and public programming at the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art, is currently only funded by one government grant and we do not have any operational assistance. This means that we rely on our fundraising events and sponsorships to support Gordon Smith Gallery exhibitions and programs.
The Smith Foundation seeks to raise an additional $20,000 through our indiegogo campaign to help fund the Robert Davidson: Progression of Form community programming and exhibition at the Gordon Smith Gallery. The campaign includes some amazing perks such as limited edition Robert Davidson prints, wine & cheese receptions and gallery tours, signed catalogues, gift bags and more!
