information + impression examines the dichotomy of how information can enlighten us as well as contain and control us. The work is created entirely out of newspaper, the ubiquitous daily news, a tactile sliver of our recent history: a selection of information that has been deemed important enough to impress into the record. The paper is torn into strips then twisted to create warps and wefts which are woven together to create a transformation of this information.
