Enjoy the North Shore Law Day Open House at the North Vancouver Courthouse, including panel presentations on Criminal, Family, Youth and First Nations Court and a Court Orientation for newcomers to Canada. There will also be an Information Fair of community, legal and justice agencies sharing their information, programs and resources.
There will be a mock “crime scene” hosted by the West Vancouver Police Department and the North Vancouver RCMP that will include investigation and arrest. It will be followed by the Criminal Court panel presentations.
- 10:00 a.m. Simulated “crime scene” in the Courthouse parking lot
- 11:00 a.m. Panel presentations on the Criminal Court Process with Provincial Court Judge, Crown Counsel, Defence Counsel and Probation Officer
- 11:00 a.m. Court Orientation for Newcomers to Canada
- 1:00 p.m. Panel presentations on First Nation Court, Family Court and Youth Court
