“He’s lean, young, expressive, with impressive stage presence and jewel box precision… He is a master, for certain, but blessed with sizzling showmanship.” – Honolulu Advertiser

There is something potent that happens the moment you set foot in Hawaii and breathe in the flower-scented air. It’s transformative, just like the music of Hawaii’s new musical superstar, Makana. Back by popular demand, this supremely talented slack key guitarist, singer, composer and activist transports his audience through his tasteful adaptions of old and new Hawaiian tunes and simultaneously entertains with his charm and humour. He’s played for the Obamas at the White House, opened for bands such as Jason Mraz, Sting and Elvis Costello and composed and performed tunes for the haunting score of the Oscar-winning film The Descendants. Let this up and coming international star take you on a musical holiday right here on the North Shore.
