Melihat Gülses, a doyenne of Turkish classical music and an artist of TRT Istanbul Radio, will meet with the Turkish music lovers in North Vancouver.
She was presented an award for ‘ Traditional Music Encouragement’ by Music Magazine Mavi Nota in 1998. She has also performed in Athens, in the concert called ‘Zaharya’ with Greek Singer ‘Kiryakos Kalaycidis’ Featuring ‘ En Chordais Ensemble’ in 2000, and the album of that concert was released in Greece. Melihat Gulses was awarded by MUZDAK ( The Council of Clasical Turkish Music) in 2003. She was also awarded by TRT music channel in 2010 as best Women Turkish Classical Music singer.
