In this exhibition, Creed, Tarling and Vallely will be presenting large scale paintings, photographs, and installed pieces that invite the viewers to look at their attachment to and collection of material objects from a different perspective. In our increasingly consumer based society it has become almost impossible to envision the norm of the majority of human existence where most purchases or acquisitions were made of necessity instead of impulse, whim, covetousness or insecurity. Many struggle to be conscientious consumers, but forces of advertising, societal ways and personal addictions make it an uphill battle. This exhibition is an attempt to illustrate the arguments between want and need, quality vs. quantity in a different way.
