Monogatari: Tales of Powell Street offers a rare glimpse at a pre-war Vancouver neighbourhood. A wonderful collection of photos, memorabilia and donated items capture life on Powell Street between 1920-1941. The area was home to 8000 Japanese Canadians who lived and worked in the community until the war broke out. Many of them were forced to leave and only a few returned. Tales of Powell Street tells their story.
The exhibit runs until October 1st. Admission is by donation.
