The Drawer Boy by Michael Healey.

A drama with pithy rural humour. In 1972 a young acting student, Miles, moves from Toronto to rural Ontario to share the lives of farmers Angus and Morgan in the hopes of finding subject matter for the Great Canadian Play. Angus had been an aspiring architect and artist (drawer boy) before a bomb during the war left him with a metal plate in his head. His pal, Morgan runs the farm and tries his best to keep Angus’s life calm and orderly. But Miles uncovers things that make the two old farmers lives change forever. Theatre BC festival entry.
