Centennial Theatre

2013 Sirius XM Blues Act of the year and growing Vancouver blues phenom The Harpoonist & the Axe Murderer create a huge sound of primal toe-tapping blues with a harmonica, a guitar and some fine foot percussion. With opening act Terminal Station.

Shawn ‘The Harpoonist’ Hall and Matthew ‘the Axe Murderer’ Rogers have developed an impressive blues style that is influenced by many sources but with a gritty, soul and funk infused sound that is uniquely their own.

Their most recent album ‘Apocalipstick’ is a critically acclaimed sonic triumph that explores boundaries and lays down some boisterous blues jams layered with intertwining melodies and red hot grooves. Shawn Hall delivers the rousing vocals and harmonica while Matthew Rogers rips on the guitar and pounds the skins with his feet. Their music is honest to the core. It is authentic and bourbon soaked blues.

  • Adult $35
