The Capilano Jazz Faculty is back with special guest artists in an evening that represents the global future of jazz music. With its roots firmly planted in Africa, jazz continues to draw strength and renewal for the art form from this diverse continent today. This past spring Dr. Kofi Gbolonyo was the artist in residence for Capilano Jazz Studies and in addition is the co-director of Adanu Habobo, a group that performs traditional music and dance from the Ewe people of West Africa. Together they will join forces with Capilano Jazz Studies faculty and students in a show combining African music and dance as well as brand new musical forms.
Tickets are $20
