David L Ivaz of the Dave Ivaz Orchestra – Chicago & Vancouver An acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, Dave honed his skills for over 20 years before forming Dave Ivaz Music—from touring with an array of internationally-known headliners and concert acts, to working as one of the top session, wedding/corporate event and show guitarists in Chicago.
Dave’s touring experience includes a year on the road as guitarist in jazz vocalist Nancy Wilson’s quartet. He has performed with Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, the Fifth Dimension, Ben E. King, Little Anthony, The Shirelles, The Drifters, Buddy Rich Band, Bobby Vinton, Vic Damone and many other acts.
As a show and session musician, Dave has backed up Bob Hope, George Burns, Don Rickles, Carol Channing, Mitzi Gaynor and others in diverse areas of the entertainment field. He is the guitarist of choice for internationally-famous Israeli stars Avraham Freed, Mordachai Ben David, Yeedle, and touring Jewish dance orchestras including New York’s Naginah. Broadway productions Dave has performed in include Showboat, Ragtime, Chicago , Pippin, The Wiz and Annie. His television appearances include the Oprah Winfrey Show, WGN Noon Show, The CBS Morning Show and Wild Chicago.
