Exhibition: Anne Gudrun at the District Library Gallery
May 22 – July 16
Mon-Fri 9am-9pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 12-4pm
North Vancouver Community Arts Council presents an exhibition of works by artist Anne Gudrun at the District Library Gallery. Her paintings reflect the beauty of nature with bold vibrancy and an innate sense of design.
From a young age Anne Gudrun has intuitively observed how lines, colours and shapes define the essence and personality of things. As an artist she explores her subject from her own unique vision of the world, and her paintings are interpretations and expressions of what she sees and experiences. Whether creating the figurative representation of a person or the abstraction of a flower, she explores the interactions between the shapes and colours on canvas; each colour and shape becoming its own character and contributing to the work as a whole.
Born in Toronto, raised in North Vancouver, Anne Gudrun attended Art College in Norway. Her work is held in private collections in both Norway and Canada.
