For BC Parks Day, the Elders Council for Parks is hosting an eco-arts event at the BC Parks Heritage Centre to celebrate the cultural and natural heritage values that parks bring to our community. The event includes a sketching and writing workshop, interactive nature poetry walk, nature photography and live music in the lush rainforest. REGISTRATION REQUIRED due to limited space.
Interactive Poetry Walk Ongoing
9:30 a.m. – Sketching workshop with artist Janna Kumi
11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Live music performed by Celina Kurz and Sage Graves
12 p.m. – Bird photography with Robert Alexander, indoor program
1 p.m. – Eco-poetry talk along the trail with Professor Trevor Carolan
2:30 – Writing workshop with Shelley Harrison Rae, indoor program
