Burrard Inlet

The Burrard Yacht Club’s Festival of Lights takes place on December 7th. Watch as the waters of Burrard Inlet twinkle and shimmer with the lights from up to 40 spectacularly decorated yachts. The flotilla will depart from the Burrard Yacht Club’s clubhouse in North Vancouver around 6:00 p.m. They will travel up the inlet, along the waterfront, past Mosquito Creek, the Squamish Nation and the Lonsdale Quay towards the Centennial Pier where the North Vancouver Christmas Festival is taking place.

The Lonsdale Quay will be accepting donations, the same night and throughout the season, to Aunt Leah’s Threshold House for Homeless Moms and Babies. You can also make donations at Aunt Leah’s tree lot located in the East Plaza at the Quay Market. After the boats turn by the Centennial Pier and the Pinnacle Hotel, they will glide over to Coal Harbour and travel past Canada Place, the Pan Pacific Hotel and then along the waterfront. The flotilla will start heading back across the inlet to the Club’s breakwater in North Vancouver around 7:45 p.m. For further information on BYC’s Festival of Lights visit their website at www.burrardyachtclub.com
