I am a working mother who has lived most of my life on the North Shore. A former investigative journalist at Global TV, I’m a communications consultant who contracts with governments, environmental organizations, First Nations and recently the BC Human Rights Commissioner.
I am a 15-year volunteer and advocate for vulnerable children and youth. I’m on the board of the Disability Foundation, served on the Braemar School PAC, volunteered for the North Van homeless count in 2020 and donate strategic communications expertise to charities. An avid pickleball player, I’m also a soccer mom and passionate about the great outdoors.
I am grateful to live on the unceded territories of the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nation, and choose to raise my family here because of nature, the people and community spirit. I bring extensive experience in communications, collaborative problem solving, advocacy and government relations – and I believe this would provide value to you as your councillor at NV District.
My vision is for a thriving community where my daughter and other generations will be able to live. I commit to finding solutions to:
Housing
An aging population requires diverse housing options, safe care and active living supports
Affordable, diverse housing for families, young people and commuters.
Staffing shortages
Traffic congestion
I commit to working collaboratively with First Nations communities and all levels of government to ensure North Van District is an inclusive, progressive and thriving community.
