Shipbuilders' Square

Transformed into a winter wonderland, Shipbuilders’ Square will be filled with the sound of music, carols and the inviting smell of free coffee and hot chocolate. This family friendly event will include activities to entertain everyone in your party from ornament and lantern making, gingerbread decorating and a Christmas sing-a-long with local choirs. The Carol ships will sail past, dropping anchor in the habour to delight those onshore, and of course, Santa will be paying a visit.

The Mayor will officially light the City’s Christmas tree, located beside the crane at 6:00pm, which will spark the illumination of the whole square. Bring your skates and helmet – they’ll be a skating rink set up for the festival.

The Christmas Market will be in full swing in the Pipe Shop and the Food Trucks will there to tempt you with their delights. It’s going to be a festive night to remember. Donations welcome, all proceeds going to North Shore Rescue.
