Lynn Valley began producing FNL as a weekly ‘alternative way for the community to gather.’ People used to gather at churches on Sundays – now, busy lives and overfilled schedules have resulted in the erosion of regular ‘community gatherings.’ Gathering in community, in a positive, fun, often inspiring environment is an important contributor to a rich culture. So, over the last three years, we have created, improvised, innovated, and stretched …. to the place where Friday Night Live was recognized as one of the North Shore’s Best Kept Secrets in the 2013 annual North Shore Outlook “Best Of” contest! Our broad vision for this community gathering is to create meaningful community connections through the performing arts which celebrate the interconnectedness of us all.
What’s the show all about? It’s a variety show …. every week is different. Comedy, music, improv. Special Guests ranging from magicians to musicians, from ventriloquists to tattoo artists. And everything in between. World famous professionals and up-and coming local talent.
