Lion’s Gate Hospital serves the City and District of North Vancouver, the District of West Vancouver, the Village of Lions Bay and Bowen Island Municipality.
The hospital is part of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the governing authority for several coastal communities. VCH provides a full range of health care services ranging from hospital treatment to community-based residential, home health, mental health and public health services.
Lions Gate Hospital provides a full range of general and many specialized acute care services. A recognized trauma centre, the hospital has 268 beds, seven operating rooms, and a variety of diagnostic services and equipment. It is the fourth busiest hospital in Vancouver and one of only five neurosurgery centres in British Columbia.
