Whey-Ah-Wichen Canoe Festival at Cates Park North Vancouver

First Nation paddling teams will compete in traditional canoe races on Burrard Inlet along the foreshore of Whey-Ah-Wichen / Cates Park.

The Whey-Ah-Wichen Canoe Festival, hosted by the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, is a free, family friendly event, open to the public. The Whey-Ah-Wichen Canoe Festival at Cates Park is hosted by the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. You’ll have a chance to watch the competitive paddle races.

Along with the canoe races, the festival will include displays, Aboriginal arts and crafts booths, and cash-only food concession with delicious, freshly barbecued salmon.
