Attention parents, children, and lovers of teddy bears! Come share in the community event of the summer on Saturday June 22nd, 2013. St. Andrew’s United Church will be celebrating its 8th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic! There will be barbequing, bouncy castles, bake sales, and bear-ious activities!
Not only will your teddy bear’s receive a teddy bear beauty parlour makeover, but they will also have the chance to visit Dr. Bear at the teddy bear clinic, have their paws read by the teddy bear paw reader, and even enjoy story time with their owners. This year we have a child entertainer Kerry performing for our picnic and Annie Bannanie the clown which will be a blast! There will be face painting, arts and crafts, and much more family fun. The event is taking place in St. Andrew’s Park, 11th Avenue and St. Georges (behind the church), and runs from 10:30am — 2:00pm rain or shine.
We have been grateful to receive 4 tents from The City of North Vancouver for the event and food donations from various food chains. So everyone come out, bring your bears, and join us for another exciting year of community spirit and gathering! Admission is free, and hot dogs, chips, pop, and ice cream will be on sale.
