The Lower Lonsdale Business Association in partnership with the City of North Vancouver invites you to celebrate their annual Christmas Festival on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at The Shipyards located at the foot of Lonsdale Avenue from 4:30pm-8:00pm.
Roving entertainment including stilt walkers, a gingerbread character and a Christmas fairy along with the inviting sounds of carolers will welcome you upon arrival. Stage entertainment kicks off at 4:30pm with a Christmas Elf Show, followed by the official lighting of the City of North Vancouver Christmas tree. Santa Claus is scheduled to stop by around 5:30pm and will visit with children in his workshop.
Shipbuilders’ stage entertainment will continue with a fire juggling show by North Shore’s own Mike Battie, then JUNO award winning Norm Foote will take the stage. The evening will close out with the beautiful voices of the British Columbia Boys Choir filling the air with the sounds of Christmas.

Shipbuilders’ Square will be sparkling with Christmas lights and filled with children’s activities that include a bug lantern building workshop run by the North Vancouver Museum & Archives; the North Shore Neighbourhood House gingerbread man decorating station as well as festive crafts hosted by Wonderlab Toyrus. New this year will be free horse & carriage rides and to keep you warm during the festivities there will be complimentary hot chocolate, coffee & cookies.
The Outlook will be on site accepting Coats for Kids as part of their annual charity drive so please help support them by donating a warm coat for children in need. Also on display will be over 40 beautifully decorated trees, all part of the Christmas by the Sea, Parade of Trees sponsored by the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce.
