On Wednesday July 1st from 12pm – 1pm, the Vancouver Visual Art Foundation (VVAF) will be merging their two events Art Downtown and Art Masters in celebration of Canada Day, in the heart of downtown Vancouver at Lot 19.
Art Masters is an art competition in which 8 professional artists create a piece of artwork based on a theme (which will be announced on the day), using one mystery toolbox filled with unconventional painting tools. They will have just one hour to create a piece of art based on this theme, requiring them to unleash their creative talents and imagination within an exciting environment.
Following this, the audience will be asked to vote for their favourite piece based on its creativity and originality, and a winner will be announced. The artworks will then be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Vancouver Visual Art Foundation.
There will be live music after the competition, and artists will be exhibiting and selling their artwork to the public until 2pm.
