Book Buddies is a one-on-one reading mentoring program for children aged 6 to 11. It is especially useful for those who could benefit from some extra support and encouragement.
Children meet weekly with a trained teen volunteer to read aloud to each other, choose books to take home, and do literacy activities.
Please call the library at 604-984-0286 or come in to get more information and to register your child for eight, half-hour sessions.
This program is most effective if you can commit to coming to all eight sessions.
