Brahms’ Requiem – Capilano Performing Arts Theatre
April 13 – April 14
|
8pm Saturday April 13; 3pm Sunday April 14
Capilano University Choirs and Vancouver Philhamonic Orchestra join forces for a powerful and beautiful performance. The sublime and powerfully dramatic Brahms’ Requiem, one of the most beautiful works ever written, will be the featured piece in this concert. The 150-voices of Capilano University Choirs and the full Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra will be joined by soprano Heather Pawsey and baritone George Roberts.
Mozart’s exquisite Ave Verum Corpus and exuberant Regina Coeli KV276, and Vaughan-Williams’ voluptuous Serenade to Music combine with the Brahms to create a magnificent concert of beauty.
