North Shore Fish & Game Club will be hosting a Chum Salmon Release on Friday, March 20th. The release will take place between 6pm to 7pm. This event will take place at Heywood Park (corner of Marine Dr. And Hamilton Ave.) at the Mackay Creek Hatchery, in the park. An additional event will start at 5pm. There will be a display set up by the CIty of North Vancouver involving their new Green Can program, The Capilano Scouts will be cooking up hotdogs and serving refreshments supplied by Save On Foods and the North Shore Fish & Game Club will have a display to show how it is involved in the Community.
Bring the kids to help release these little guys so they can start their journey out to the sea.
In the unlikely chance of heavy rain and high creek water, this event will be rescheduled.
