At the centre of our second concert is Vivaldi’s most colourful and imaginative ‘The Four Seasons’, featuring acclaimed violinist and our very own North Shore native, Gwen Hoebig. This performance will be uniquely illustrated with readings of Vivaldi’s own descriptive sonnets, plus soldiers’ letters written throughout the seasons of WWII.
Our concert opens with optimism and inspiration with the Lions Gate Youth Orchestra performing a premiere by Michael Conway Baker that features the memorable poem, In Flanders Fields, narrated by David Bain.
