Lynn Valley began producing FNL as a weekly ‘alternative way for the community to gather.’ We know that social connectedness is key to both a vibrant community and emotional and spiritual well-being. However, busy lives and overfilled schedules have resulted in the erosion of regular ‘community gatherings.’ So, we created FNL to be a gathering which is positive, uplifting and inspiring. An all-ages experience that leaves everyone feeling more connected. Over the last six years, we have created, improvised, innovated, and stretched …. to the place where Friday Night Live has been recognized as one of the North Shore’s Best Kept Secrets in the 2013 annual North Shore Outlook “Best Of” contest, and in Vancouver’s Best Places 2015, we were recognized as The North Shore’s Best Family Entertainment Deal! Our vision for this community gathering is to create meaningful community connections which celebrate the interconnectedness of us all.
What’s FNL all about? It’s a totally unique experience. Every week is different. It is an experience that you help create by sharing your life stories. Then, it’s music and storytelling. Our Guests range from internationally-recognized recording artists to local talent, from dancers to slam poets. And everything in between. We experience, we question, we explore. It is unscripted. Just like life! We can’t control what has gone before. We can only imagine what is to come. We live in the moment. Unscripted.
This is going to be a very intimate show with Rock legends Al Harlow, Rocket Norton, Ab Bryant, John Hall, and Ray Ayotte. Seating is very limited.
