While Ruel’s primary instrument is the guitar, he is also a vocalist, drummer, pianist & bassist. He holds a Bachelor’s in Music from UBC majoring in classical guitar performance. Extensive study in many fields of music have made him a well rounded musician: Classical Guitar with Don Hlus & Michael Strutt, Electric Guitar with Dave Martone, Compostion with Dr. Stephen Chatman & Drumming with Ryan Van Poederooyen. His artistry focuses on progressive composition and arranging, leading instrument playing & meticulous producing.
