Le Centre will bring back its major winter cultural event, the 6th Juste pour rire de Vancouver (Just for Laughs) event, which will present a line-up of some of the best comedy artists performing in French.
The 6th Juste pour rire de Vancouver event 2014 will join forces with the Rendez-vous de la francophonie to present a major gala evening, featuring seven artists, from very different backgrounds. By popular demand, Jérémy Demay, who was the darling of last year’s audience, will be back to host this evening, with two rising stars as featured entertainers, who were both nominated at the 2013 Gala des Oliviers in the category of comedian of the year, namely Mike Ward and Guillaume Wagner. The program will also introduce the Vancouver audience to some of the most promising up-and-coming artists, including Olivier Martineau, Mélanie Couture, Pierre Bruno Rivard, Dorothy Rhau, and for the very first time, Michou, an artist based here in British Columbia. This sixth edition of the Juste pour rire de Vancouver event will once again be a partner in the celebrations of the francophone community of British Columbia for Black History Month.
