On Saturday, August 17th hundreds of cyclists will challenge themselves to climb Cypress Mountain for pancreatic cancer research.
Are you ready to join us to ride up Cypress Mountain? Is this your first hill climb? Or will you help by pushing yourself to a personal best on the climb? The choice is yours. All you need is the determination to pedal to the top for the Cypress Mountain Challenge.
Choose either a 5km or 12 km route. And enter in any of a host of different categories, including male/female age groups and four-person Corporate Challenge teams. The climb is a fun way for cyclists to challenge themselves to reach a personal best, while helping defeat a particularly dangerous form of cancer.
The fact is that pancreatic cancer has the lowest 5-year survival rate of all cancers – an average of 5% in Canada. With nearly 600 people in BC expected to be diagnosed this year, every dollar we can raise counts to help future outcomes. That’s why 100% of all the money we raise goes to the BC Cancer Foundation’s new Pancreas Centre BC.
All you need to enter the Cypress Challenge is a properly maintained bike and a helmet. Individual entries are by a minimum suggested early bird donation of $25. Or $40 after August 9th. Contact us about our new Corporate Team Challenge.
