The North Shore Chorus is hosting its third annual gala fundraising event at the Deep Cove Shaw Theatre on Thursday April 4th. The evening features a performance of the Deep Cove Stage Society’s festival play ‘Half Life’ by John Mighton. Guests will be served appetizers between 6:30 and 7:30pm and can bid on some fantastic gifts in a silent auction.
Playwright, John Mighton, is a Dora, Chalmers and Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama winner. The play ‘Half Life’ is based on two nursing home residents who rekindle what might have been a wartime romance. The award-winning author of ‘Possible Worlds’ brings us this poetic and moving meditation on identity, aging and the nature of memory. What shines through when memory fades away?
“An unforgettable experience that is a gain, in every sense of the word, for the Canadian dramatic canon.” – The Globe and Mail.
“Mighton’s most accessible play……beautifully told.” – Stage & Play.
Tickets for this fundraising performance event are limited. Please email North Shore Chorus member Audrey Owen to order tickets.
