Poetry In Motion: A fundraising gala for the Maria Mimie Ho Foundation

The Maria Mimie Ho Foundation is proud to present “Poetry in Motion”, a spectacular evening of Chinese arts and culture. The multi-faceted celebration will be sure to dazzle audiences of all ages through a mixed program of classical, contemporary, and urban fused Chinese dance, martial arts, and music. A special dance adaptation of the classic Chinese legend “Butterfly Lovers”, also known as the Chinese Romeo and Juliet, will be presented with choreography by Guangzhou Ballet resident choreographer, Xing Bang Fu. Special guest artists include West Coast Wushu, New York choreographer Valerie “Ms.Vee” Ho, musician Yang Ling, the Vancouver Academy of Dance, and alumni from the Strathcona Chinese Dance Company.
