About Ballet Victoria
In downtown Victoria at the back of St. Andrews Church is a dance studio behind stained glass windows. Every day, thirteen professional dancers and apprentices train and rehearse original works being created right there, right now.
With the direction of Paul Destrooper, innovation is happening, quietly but insistently. Music inspires bodies to create beauty and harmony in dance.
Having produced over 54 new works, Ballet Victoria is starting its thirteenth seasons with 3 world premieres. The artistic team is exploring new territory. Music creates an uncompromising range of choreographies, from Baroque music to Rock, from Opera to folk songs. The result: pure magic. The experience: fascinating. The memories pure delight.
