The LEGACY Foundation presents SCURA BELLEZZA BALLO MASCHERATA a Sophisticated, Grand & Glamorous Affair on January 21st, 2012 Commencing at 8:00 pm and Concluding at 1:00 am at the Vancouver Art Gallery, 750 Hornby Street

In Support of the ART & SOUL Program Benefiting Vancouver’s Youth in Need in Pursuit of Artistic Excellence. Extraordinary Production, Enchanting Experience, Supporting Arts Education.

What will be heralded as THE Party of the Season, the “Dark Beauty” Masquerade Ball is a sensational gala to benefit the Legacy Foundation’s ART & SOUL program, supporting gifted youth from disadvantaged circumstances via Arts education.

The ‘Dark Beauty’ Masquerade Ball will be undeniably mysterious with stunning decor and entertainment, SCURA BELLEZZA is a First Class theatrical production promising glamour and intrigue to ignite the imagination.

Western Canada’s top business drivers, celebrities, trendsetters, and top-tier society will join in an unforgettable evening of philanthropy and enchantment. At midnight, ‘Bold Face Names’ hidden behind elaborately designed masks will reveal themselves.

Following a champagne reception, guests will flow into the Rotunda for a showing of some of Europe’s most exquisite designer lingerie collections, never before shown in Canada – Maison Close, Kriss Soonik, and Harlette – including a $7,500 pair of diamond enhanced knickers. Breathtaking live floral dress creations by CC Roa, Evan Clayton, and Donald Yim will take “dress to impress” to a whole new level!

Stunning dance performances featuring The Faculty as demon dancers, with original black leather masks by artisan Alicia Fennell, will celebrate the Dark Beauty of Woman, and what lies behind the mask. The gala is loosely based on the ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ film noir, and is a surreal extravaganza created to seduce reality and stretch the imagination.

With 2 VIP rooms, one on Vancouver’s best rooftop, with a dance floor and private DJ setting the mood with sexy cocktail lounge music, the Moet and Belvedere sponsored lounge will be the place to see and be seen. VIP cabanas provide the chic set with the puuuurfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.

Projection shows will include the Lobby and Robson Square side of the VAG – outdoors – and the entire perimeter of the Rotunda, accompanied by original music compositions.

SCURA BELLEZZA will provide art patrons with avante garde performances, fusing glittering elegance with dark fantasy and sophisticated style. Surprising entertainment will provide suspense and thrill. Not until the stroke of midnight will guests remove their masks.

Guests may order European designer lingerie via the gala, in time for Valentine’s Day.
