Sibéal Foyle at the District Library Gallery Lynn Valley

Opening Reception: Saturday, April 11, 2-4pm.

North Vancouver Community Arts Council presents an exhibition of works by Sibéal Foyle at the Lynn Valley Library. Bringing together elements of emotion, introspection and reflection, Sibéal’s paintings deal with themes of emigration, the fragility of our environment, and the transitional and reflective symbol of water.

Sibéal is an artist and educator who has lived on the North Shore since 1987. Born and raised in Ireland, she comes from a rich tradition of oral history and storytelling. Her work investigates many aspects of life but is primarily inspired by events that impact her family and community on a local and global level.  Weaving together stories based on personal experiences, Sibéal melds formal painting concerns with a flair for colour, exuberant compositions and imagination.
