January 23rd 6:30pm – 9:30pm
January 24th on Grouse Mountain 9am – 4:30pm
North Shore Youth 4 Mental Health (NSY4MH), Bell Canada, Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Grouse Mountain invite youth to attend the 4th annual Talk at the Top event, a youth inspired, youth led, and youth directed mental health summit. The event will be held over two days: Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24.
A kick-off jam session evening will be held in the Atrium at City Hall on the Saturday and will feature local indie bands including Westwinds, Dominque Fricot, Savie, and Greg Drummond. The next day, the main event will be held at the top of Grouse Mountain. Attendees will hear speakers, attend workshops and have the opportunity to participate in either an outdoor activity or an indoor alternative.
The event is free and open to all youth across the North Shore from Deep Cove to Whistler in grades 8 – 12. All meals, activities and gondola rides are included. All you need to do is register and arrive with an open mind and an interest in learning and participating in discussions. Together we can reduce the stigma of mental illness among youth through dialogue and action. It’s going to be an inspirational day of speakers, music, adventure, dialogue and leadership.
