2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Holiday Trail Run is happening Sunday November 30th, from the Jaycee House.
Start/Finish will be at the Jaycee House on Lilloet Road in North Vancouver. More details on the route to be released before the event, but count on it being a 3-5K loop that you can run as few or as many times as you’d like in the 4 hour period (your last lap has to be started before 12!)

In between loops, you can help yourself to some baking treats, and a hot chocolate while chatting with friends. Challenge yourself to run a loop with a fast friend, and then do a loop with a slower friend. This is a build your own event to whatever distance and speed you desire in the 4 hour period.
Can’t come at 8? No worries, come at 9, or 10, or even 11!
Consider this a Christmas open house for trail runners!
Enjoy wrapping up the end of the season with a fun and social event, instead of a race!
Cost is $25 Cash. Included in this cost is all the boring legal details, a warm dry venue with bathrooms, a well marked route, Christmas swag, Refreshments, Prizes, and all around GREAT TIMES!
Kids under 6 are free, and 12 & under are $10.
This is also a fundraiser for the North Shore Search & Rescue, in remembrance of Tim Jones. We are on the trails so much that it’s only right to give back to them. This summer we were involved in a NSR call, and it really affected us, and with the passing of their leader, and the vandalism that happened this summer, it’s just the right thing to do. So, proceeds will be donated to NSR, and if you’d like to donate more, just do so when checking in at the event.
New to trail running and not sure you can run 4K? No problem, you can walk the course if you’d like!
We will also be hosting a BAKING COMPETITION with the winner walking away with a 5 Peaks Vancouver race entry of their choice for 2015! Think you make the best chocolate chip cookies? Have a secret family recipe for holiday baking? Put your baking to the test and enter it against other bakers delights.
We will also have prizes for the UGLIEST sweaters and the most FESTIVE outfits. The concept is stolen from my wonderful running mentor, Rainy, who every year would put on a Christmas running socializing event.
Sounds good? Sounds AMAZING!!
We also will need a couple of volunteers, so perhaps if you’re injured or taking the rest of the year off of running, you can help us out with prizing and registration day of 🙂
