North Vancouver needs affordable homes and reasonable-cost rental housing. I will prioritize these over high-priced condominiums and environmentally destructive concrete high-rises. I favour gentle densification. This involves simplified approvals for duplexes, triplexes, secondary suites, coach houses, and small lot infills. Gentle densification with improved local transit can expand housing stock throughout the District and preserve the character of neighbourhoods. We must prioritize liveability for residents. This demands protection of parks and green spaces and enhancement of bike trails and safe pedestrian walks.
