Presented with Coastal Jazz in association with Western Front

Last fall, jazz drummer Ted Poor blew us all away when he joined Brad Turner and Bill Frisell for a memorable sold-out show so we’re thrilled to be bringing him back this year. Poor has quickly become one of the most in demand drummers on the jazz scene today playing with the likes of Chris Potter, Kenny Werner and Maria Schneider to name just a few. His current quartet, featuring Eric Revis on bass, Bill McHenry on tenor sax and Josh Roseman on trombone pays tribute to the great Sonny Rollins/Don Cherry quartets of the early ’60s. In typical Poor style, the music is wide open, rugged, yet refined, joyously irreverent and cutting edge all at once.
